Contributors’ Corner

Erin Bray ’10

Erin is the newest member of the Office of Marketing and Public Relations, joining the staff in July 2012. As editorial assistant, she will lend proofreading and copy writing support to the editor, helping to write, review and produce The Bridge, as well as other Messiah College print and online publications.

Prior to joining Messiah, she worked for Tierney, a public relations agency, specializing in media relations, strategic social media, promotional writing and grassroots marketing.

She is a 2010 graduate of Messiah College where she received her bachelor’s degree in communication with a minor in business administration.

Peggy Koach

Peggy previously served as an editorial assistant at Messiah and worked for several years as a freelance writer and copy editor from her home in Elizabethtown. She also worked for several years as a composition and editorial proofreader at Engle Publishing and Printing, based in Lancaster, Pa.

She is a 1985 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she received her bachelor’s degree in journalism with minors in Spanish and political science.

Peggy and her husband, Jeff, have four children and one irascible Corgi mix named Crofton.

Noreen Livoti ’02

Since graduating from Messiah College in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in English, Noreen has been blessed professionally, being able to do what she loves most: writing. The former associate editor of Central PA magazine, Messiah College editorial assistant, and current freelance writer enjoys vacationing in Naples, Fla., with her family, trying to cook like a Food Network personality, and spending time with her children.

Laurie considers herself blessed to have had the opportunity to share the lives of remarkable people, whose achievements stand as a direct reflection of Messiah College’s commitment to individualism and exploration. Laurie holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of Florida. For the past 20 years, she has worked as a marketing manager, writer, and campaign coordinator for primarily large organizations seeking to promote their brand.

Laurie enjoys gardening, photography, carefree bike rides with her family, and the solitude of a Cape Cod beach at sunset.

Susan Kreider Getty ′84
Susan graduated from Messiah College in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in psychology. Susan also completed a studio art major at Messiah and graduated again with the class of 2007.

In addition to painting and drawing, poetry, feature writing, dramatic monologues for worship, and writing for children are among Susan’s favorite freelance projects.

Mackenzie Martin ′08

Mackenzie Martin ’08, an art and English double major, thoroughly enjoys reading, writing, poetry, photography, and printmaking. Her native habitate includes the library, Climenhaga Fine Arts Center, and friendly neighborhood bookstores.


Melissa Paolangeli ′09
Melissa Paolangeli ’09 was a communications major with a public relations and advertising concentration from Northern Virginia. Also a theatre minor, Melissa appeared in several Messiah theatre department productions, including Godspell and Urinetown. When not performing on stage or writing for The Bridge, Melissa could be found in her kitchen pretending she’s a Food Network star, at home playing with her west highland terrier, Rigatoni, or outside watching the sunset.
